New 2019 Ford Transit Connect Passenger Wagon - Features
Versatility
Versatility To Fit Your Lifestyle
Whether you're transporting cargo, carrying passengers or doing both, the Transit Connect Passenger Wagon can handle it. Take your pick of short- or long-wheelbase models. Short-wheelbase models can seat up to five passengers, while the long-wheelbase passenger wagon can accommodate up to seven. Also, the seat comfort in both the first and second rows has been enhanced with refined material, cushioning and stitching. Add to that its ability to get you in, around, between or out of tight spaces, and you've got a vehicle versatile and flexible enough to keep up with everything life might throw your way.

New Interiors
Take your pick of short- or long-wheelbase models. Short-wheelbase models can seat up to five passengers, while the long-wheelbase passenger wagon can accommodate up to seven. New for 2019 is a standard six-way manual driver seat and second-row fold-flat bucket seats that are standard on long-wheelbase wagons. Second-row 60/40 bench seats are standard on short-wheelbase wagons and available on long-wheelbase wagons. Plus, Transit Connect Passenger Wagon has class-exclusive third-row seating.

Two Powertrain Choices
Coupled with an efficient 8-speed automatic transmission, the standard 2.0L GDI I-4 engine provides plenty of power. For an added degree of performance, a direct-injected 1.5L EcoBlue® Diesel is available. With either engine, standard Auto Start-Stop Technology also potentially reduces fuel consumption and vehicle emissions during city driving - when your vehicle comes to a stop and is idle.
Flexible Fuel Options
The new 2.0L gasoline direct-injected engine is engineered to run on E85 (85% ethanol and 15% gasoline), unleaded gasoline or any blend of the two. The new 1.5L EcoBlue® Diesel engine can operate on any blend of up to 20% biodiesel and 80% petroleum diesel (a mix known as B20). Both biodiesel and ethanol are cleaner burning and more renewable than conventional fuels.

Wheelbase Choices
Transit Connect Passenger Wagons are available in short-wheelbase or long-wheelbase versions. The short-wheelbase model features a second row with seats that flip, fold and tumble to provide additional cargo room. The long-wheelbase passenger wagon has three rows of seating with room for six or seven passengers and is available in XL, XLT and Titanium models.
Swing-Out Rear Cargo Doors Or Liftgate
To suit your particular needs, Transit Connect Passenger Wagon models offer you the choice of 180-degree 50/50 swing-out rear cargo doors or a rear liftgate. Titanium only comes with a liftgate. Dual sliding side doors are standard.

Available Roof Rack
An available roof rack provides an added degree of cargo capacity to the Transit Connect Passenger Wagon.
Impressive Maneuverability
The Transit Connect Passenger Wagon, especially the short-wheelbase model, is a natural when it comes to maneuvering into small parking spots or navigating around tight spaces. The short-wheelbase models have 38.3 feet of curb-to-curb turning diameter, while the long-wheelbase model has a turning diameter of 40.0 feet.

Unsurpassed Towing Capability
When the task at hand calls for towing, the Transit Connect comes through with an unsurpassed towing capacity of up to 2,000 lbs. when equipped with the Trailer Tow Prep Package. Among the included features is trailer sway control linked to the technology of the standard AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll Stability Control™).

Also, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake. If you do not take corrective action and a collision is imminent, the brakes can automatically apply.

New 2019 Ford Transit Connect Passenger Wagon - Safety
Safety Meets Flexibility
The 2019 Ford Transit Connect Passenger Wagon was engineered for confidence on the road with features like the standard rear view camera, Safety Canopy® System, Curve Control and AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®). Other safety features include a Tire Pressure Monitoring System and available HID headlamps.

Rear View Camera
The standard rear view camera, included with optional audio systems, provides a video image on the center-stack screen of the area behind your vehicle. The camera is activated when you shift into Reverse and back up slowly. The screen has guides to help you align your vehicle with a trailer or assist you with backing up in tight places.

Safety Canopy® System
Located in the roof side rail behind the headliner, the side-curtain airbags deploy downward and outward toward the side-window opening to protect the heads of outboard passengers. It's triggered independently of the driver and front-passenger airbags by side-impact sensors. Roll-fold technology helps the airbag slide between the glass and occupant as the airbag inflates. The Safety Canopy System will not interfere with properly installed child-safety seats or booster seats and is designed to stay inflated longer for added protection in a rollover.
AdvanceTrac® with RSC®
Find enhanced control in slick conditions. RSC provides enhanced side-slip control and electronic rollover stability for the vehicle. It utilizes gyroscopic sensors to monitor vehicle roll motion and rate of turning in milliseconds. This helps determine when and how RSC will utilize the brakes to help keep all four wheels of the vehicle firmly planted.

HID Headlamps
In the Automatic position, the available high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps automatically turn on in low-light situations, or when the wipers are activated. Standard on Titanium and available on XLT.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Standard on all Transit Connect Passenger Wagon models, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System monitors air pressure amounts for each tire and will illuminate a warning light on the cluster screen if the pressure in any one of your tires goes below the recommended tire inflation level.
